Function and Application
VF and VF-FS protectors are precision protection devices used in power supply sections of computers, modems, pulse control equipment, etc., to prevent damage from surge overvoltages caused by lightning or switching operations.
The built-in protection circuit of the VF series protectors consists of gas discharge tubes and varistors, monitored by a durable thermal disconnect device. A green indicator light is illuminated during normal operation. If the protection circuit is overloaded, the built-in circuit breaker disconnects it from the main circuit, the green indicator turns off, and the floating contact (for VF-FS with remote alarm) activates.
Installation
The VF series protectors can be directly mounted on a 35mm DIN rail in distribution cabinets or switch boxes. The remote alarm circuit is connected via a plug-in module (provided).
